When we set out to create The Ratio’s very first bag, we knew it had to be more than beautiful. It had to mean something.
The ABUNDANCE Bag isn’t just a product—it’s the embodiment of our entire philosophy: modern luxury crafted with intention, on demand, and made personal. From the very beginning, our Creative Director was guided by the principles of the Golden Ratio—Fibonacci’s iconic sequence found throughout nature, art, and architecture—to inform the shape, scale, and spirit of the design.
We explored dozens of silhouettes and functions, sketching endlessly, prototyping thoughtfully. There were slouchy hobos, rigid rectangles, half-moons, and oversized pouches. Each one told part of the story—but something was always missing. We wanted a bag that could carry abundance—symbolically and literally. That meant it had to be a shoulder tote: easy to wear, balanced in proportion, light in spirit, and strong in presence.
We obsessed over the smallest details to achieve something minimal, functional, and deeply pleasing to carry. Every curve, handle length, and stitch was scrutinized to ensure it felt as good as it looked. It had to be the kind of bag you reach for every day but still feel a sense of pride and elegance when wearing.
And then came the deeper layer: personalization. Because abundance is different for everyone, we integrated a way for you to make the ABUNDANCE bag yours—by choosing your own two-digit number. It could be your birthday, a lucky number, an anniversary, or a number that holds energy only you understand. This simple yet profound detail makes your bag truly one-of-one—a daily reminder of what you’re creating, carrying, and becoming.
